If you are looking for a park that is nice, clean and quiet, then Founders Park at Campbell Station is that park! Located directly next to the Farragut Public Library, this 17 acre park has become a Knoxville family favorite. Located 1 mile southwest of Interstate 40 on North Campbell Station Road, this park is not only beautiful but also conveniently located.
Founders Park at Campbell Station has both paved and unpaved trailways that wind through the park. Visitors can walk, jog or ride a bike through the trails. Benches and gazebos are located throughout the park which allows you to stop and read a book if you wish. If you would rather sit in grass under the shade of a tree you can do that too while enjoying the sounds of the creek nearby. The park also offers several pavilions for picnics and has restrooms available for public use.
The park holds monthly concerts and during the summer there are food trucks that park nearby. During the Christmas holiday there is a lights display that everyone enjoys.
Residents and visitors had great things to say about this park:
- “This is one of my favorite parks in Knoxville. It’s not huge, but it has everything. Streams and bridges, covered areas, hillside trails for a workout, statues, shade in summer and Christmas lights in winter. It’s also right next to the Farragut branch library so you can reserve a book in advance and pick it up there, then head over to the park for a stroll. Very charming”
- “Really nice, clean, quiet park on a hillside. Paved and unpaved trails, a nice stream across the front. Walk, jog, ride your bike or read. Several built facilities including pavilions, bathrooms, a stage area and there is a public library at one end of the parking lot. Beautiful trees and just an all round serene place”
