Tennessee Rugby Park

Wouldn’t it be a wonderful thing if there was a park that was geared towards rugby?  A park that had fields that were dedicated to playing the game. A park that had the facilities that were needed to accommodate most any size programming including regional and national rugby events. Look no further, that space has become a reality!

Located at Karns Valley Dr and Oak Ridge Hwy, the Tennessee Rugby Park encompasses 20 acres that is dedicated to the game of rugby!  The Tennessee Rugby Park is also the home of the University of Tennessee Ruby Team.  There is even a field that is dedicated to the home games with seating capacity at 250.

The Tennessee Rugby Park isn’t only used by the University of Tennessee Rugby Team. Hundreds of elementary, middle and high school Students also use the Rugby Park for rugby programs, it’s the only youth rugby venue in East Tennessee. The Smoky Mountain Athletic Club (SMAC) also calls it home.

Local residents of west Knoxville had this to say: “I was excited to watch my first rugby game in Knoxville. The park was convenient and easy to find, the amenities we’re close by, and they had food trucks available during the games. There seemed to be plenty of space for players and I had a great time! Looking forward to watching more games here in the future”.

Like any other sport, rugby can be dangerous.  Fun, but dangerous.  And injuries do occur.  It doesn’t matter how careful you are while practicing or playing a match.  Something can twist or turn the wrong way and you may have to seek medical attention.  When you injure yourself while participating in a sports activity you feel like the closer you are to a medical facility the better!  Revvl Health & Chiropractic is a short 9.9 miles southwest of the Tennessee Rugby Park.  You can be from the park to the office in as little as fifteen minutes. The experienced chiropractors at Revvl Health & Chiropractic will help you get back on the rugby field as soon as possible, and in better condition than how you may have arrived at their office.

For some sports enthusiasts, Rugby could be too active of a sport. If you have a family member that would enjoy a quiet day enjoying the wildlife.  Haw Ridge Park is a short 8.6 mile drive north of the Tennessee Rugby Park.  Haw Ridge Park is located on a riverfront peninsula and has activities such as fishing, hiking and biking.

The Harrell Road Stormwater Park is another excellent park that is close to the Tennessee Rugby Park.  The Harrell Road Stormwater Park is 3.9 miles northeast, a short six minute drive on Oak Ridge Highway.  The Harrell Road Stormwater Park is a convenient local park that offers beautiful walking trails that can be enjoyed by both young and old.
